Dublin International Airport can be found to the north of Dublin City. Irelands national airline Aer Lingus has its headquarters at Dublin airport. Several other airlines also operate from Dublin Airport, they include Ryanair, Aer Arann, Delta, American Airlines, Emirates, Air France and British Airways. The airport operates regional flights all over Ireland as well as many long hall flight destinations including America and Canada. Dublin airport has two terminals and several car hire companies operate from the airport including Hertz, Buget, Avis and Eurocar. Weston Airport is located just outside Dublin in Leixlip, County Kildare. It is mainly used for private aircraft and pilot training. The airport has hosted many air displays and has also been used as a filming location, many of the ground shots from the 1966 movie, The Blue Max were filmed at Weston Airport

Belfast International Airport also known as Aldergrove is located in Northern Ireland, approximately 18 miles outside of Belfast City. Several car hire operators are based at Belfast Airport including Hertz and Europcar. Belfast is an ideal starting point for visitors touring Ireland but it is important to inform the hire company if you intend to take the vehicle into the Republic of Ireland so they can ensure the vehicle has the correct insurance and you have the breakdown and emergency numbers for the Republic. Belfast City Airport is a regional airport serving England, Scotland and the Isle of Man. It was renamed to George Best Airport in 2006 to commemorate the life of Northern Ireland's most famous footballer. The airport is located near Belfast docks in Northern Ireland, about three miles close to the city centre and the Titanic Experience. Airlines that use George Best airport include Manx2.com which serves the Isle of Man as well as Flybe, BA and Aer Lingus. Belfast city can be reached by airport taxi, train, shuttle bus or by hiring a car from one of the many car hire desks in the arrival hall. City of Derry Airport is located in the town of Eglinton, seven miles outside the beautiful walled City of Derry in Northern Ireland (also known as Londonderry). The airport is mainly served by Ryanair who operate flights to London Stanstead, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow as well as several Flights operate to destinations including Faro, Tenerife and Salou. The nearest city is Derry which can be reached by airport taxi. Car hire is also available at the airport, most of the large car hire companies are based at Derry including Europcar. Carrickfin Airport is located in County Donegal in the North West of Ireland. The airport is served by Loganair and Flybe and its routes include several daily flights to Dublin as well as flights to Glasgow Prestwick airport in Scotland. Car Hire is available at Donegal airport, Hertz and Avis both have desks in the arrivals hall. Airport taxis are also available with Dungloe being the closest town to Donegal airport. Dungloe (An Clochán Liath) is the home of the Daniel O'Donnell Visitor Centre and like every Irish town is home to several pubs!
